AI Disclosure
Why This Disclosure Exists
The Volante Museum was built with the assistance of AI tools. In the interest of transparency, this page describes how those tools were used, what they contributed, and what safeguards were applied before any AI-assisted content was published. AI-assistated or AI-generated content should always have an accompanying disclosure.
Tools Used
The primary AI tool used in this project is Claude Code. Claude was used as a coding assistant throughout the development of the site. Additionally, GitHub Copilot was used for some code generation tasks.
How AI Was Used
AI assistance was used in the following areas:
- Code generation — Claude Code and GitHub Copilot helped write and refine the site's Astro components, data layer, and build tooling. This was done after the underlying data model and structure was created and refined by a human author.
- Content organization — In some cases, Claude and Copilot assisted with creating helper functions and scripts to organize content retrieved from the Wayback Machine. This included automatic renaming, formatting, moving, and deduplication of content.
AI was not used to generate or alter any product information. All such data was retrieved from official Volante Design sources with great assistance by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
Human Review
Every piece of content published on this site was reviewed by a human before publication. AI tools can produce confident-sounding but incorrect information and should always be reviewed for accuracy.
